My name is Ritania Attipoe. I was born and raised on the picturesque Caribbean Island of Jamaica. As an adult, I relocated to the United States, where I have resided for over twenty years. I currently serve as a mental and behavioral health therapist, a mental health coach, and motivational speaker, and I am pursuing a Ph.D. in social work at Alabama A&M University. I obtained my master's degree in social work from Savannah State University and my bachelor's degree in social work from Georgia State University. My background includes early childhood education, medical assisting, and social work. I've worked with clients from diverse backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities, refugees, and those facing mental health challenges. I am a passionate advocate for mental health equity, dedicated to reducing mental health disparities and promoting culturally appropriate solutions. I strive to enhance access to mental health resources and support systems. Through community engagement and innovative programming, I aim to foster a more inclusive and supportive environment for individuals facing mental health challenges. Driven by a commitment to social justice and wellness, I continue to explore impactful strategies that address the unique mental health needs of diverse communities.
